I go to a special room, pulmonary rehab is on the door many friends are waiting there and there will be many more
We have so much in common though we're different as can be you see we all fight to breathe for we have COPD Our therapist is always there to encourage and to guide to teach us how to purse-lip breathe and to take our disease in stride The fear that comes from struggling, for the precious air we need, she understands and tries to show how good our lives can be
We're so close, these friends and I, a family of sorts it's true We laugh and talk and work to breathe with treadmills, bikes and such and when we're done we thank our God for this place we need so much
A special thanks to Rehab for giving us this space, and to our dear Patsy who helps us keep our pace, |
